The photos see Alia in character and offer glimpses of her multiple looks, including one of the star in what appears to be a bulletproof vest. The latest photos doing the rounds see the star in a blue shirt and trousers, riding a scooter on the sets. It is presumed that the actress was shooting for the scene in a set built up to replicate a bylane in Bangkok. Fans noted that the signposts on the sets were of a different script, and linked it to the actress’ recent trip to Thailand, where she shot a schedule of the film.
Alia began shooting ‘Jigra’ last October. It marks her maiden collaboration with filmmaker Vasan Bala. The actress, revealed that she and her husband Ranbir Kapoor have worked on their shooting schedules so that one of them is with daughter Raha at all times.
The actor revealed that Ranbir had cleared out his schedule so that she could work on ‘Jigra’. She said in a report on PTI, “When I took up ‘Jigra’, Ranbir cleared his schedule out for the next couple of months so I could be at work with ease. There are a lot of night schedules, which actually worked out very well for me because I get the day with her. I end up sleeping only five hours. But I think that’s one of the things you give up as a parent, you sleep less.”
‘Jigra’ is Alia’s second home production after 2022’s ‘Darlings’, which was released on Netflix. Also backed by Karan Johar, the film will hit theatre screens on September 27, 2024.
