Imran Khan has left fans waiting eagerly for his comeback, since he promised the same after a prompt by an internet user by the name of Aditi. Last seen in 2015 release ‘Katti Batti‘, the actor nearly disappeared from public eye, making rare appearances at the Khan family outings.
In a recent interview, Imran Khan broke silence on his absence and told Vogue India, “Luckily, I was working in an industry that had rewarded me financially, so by the time I was 30, I didn’t have to worry about money. At that point, it wasn’t my career because I wasn’t excited by it enough to want to work hard for it.” The actor went on to add that he was a newbie father at that time and focussed on being the ‘best version’ of himself for Imara.
In the same interview, Imran reflected on the failure of his last release ‘Katti Batti’. The actor stated, “When Katti Batti flopped, I wanted to understand some things, so I began working backwards. What had been the biggest hits of the last two or three years? What were the films that had brought my contemporaries success? Do I like those films? Would I have said yes had they been offered to me? The answer was always no. And that clarified something for me. What I actually wanted was for the films I was in to be successful.”
Post this movie, Imran Khan directed a short film titled ‘Mission Mars: Keep Walking India’ (2018). Working on his comeback, Imran has been actively sharing anecdotes from his shoot days on Instagram.
