Emraan Hashmi is enjoying a major resurgence in his career, after a long drought, he is being seen in back to back projects. Last year he was seen taking on Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in Tiger 3, and earlier this week, the trailer of his upcoming OTT show Showtime, backed by Karan Johar was released. And now, he is headed south. The actor has come on board for G 2, Adivi Sesh’s highly-anticipated sequel.
Expressing his excitement, Adivi Sesh shared, “I am thrilled to have Emraan Hashmi on board for G2. His presence will undoubtedly bring a new dimension to the film.” G 2 is a sequel to Adivi Sesh’s 2018 superhit film Goodachari, where Adivi Sesh played a spy agent.
Emraan Hashmi also stated, “Joining the cast of G2 is truly exciting. The script is compelling, and I look forward to being part of this spy thriller.” Apart from this, Emraan will also be seen in a special appearance in Karan Johar’s Ae Watan Mere Watan, where he plays freedom fighter Ram Manohar Lohia, which has Sara Ali Khan in the lead.
With this Emraan joins the long list of Bollywood actors who are heading south, this includes Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Bobby Deol, among others.
