Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation in 2021. While they were married for four years, they were dated for a while before that. While Samantha has been doing some great work, the actress was diagnosed with an auto-immune condition myositis.
As she has been undergoing treatment for it and then took a break for some months from work to pay attention to her health, the actess has now launched a new health podcast. On this podcast, while Samantha did not name Naga Chaitanya or divulge into details, she recalled that the phase was very difficult. She said on her podcast, “I remember specifically the year before I had this problem, it was an extremely difficult year for me. I specifically remember the day that I think my friend/partner/manager Himank, and I were traveling back from Mumbai. And this was in June of the year before last, and I remember telling him that finally I feel calm. I haven’t felt a little relaxed and a little calm in a very, very long time. And I finally feel like I can breathe and I can go to sleep, and I can now wake up and focus on my work and be the best that I can be at work. And I woke up with this condition.”
She further revealed why she wanted to do this podcast, “The reason I wanted to do this podcast was because after the experience, the harrowing experience that I’ve been through and well, an autoimmune condition is lifelong, so with what I’m dealing with right now as well, I’d rather people be safe than sorry.”
The couple had issued a statement regarding their divorce. Meanwhile, on work front, Samantha was last seen in ‘Kushi’ alongside Vijay Deverakonda. She was recently dubbing for her next project, ‘Citadel’ created by Raj and DK, co-starring her with Varun Dhawan.
