Sandeep Reddy Vanga was honoured with the prestigious title of Best Director for his cinematic masterpiece, Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. Animal went on to become an all-time blockbuster by earning Rs 900 crore worldwide.

Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal‘s stellar depiction of field marshal Sam Manekshaw in the Meghna Gulzar directorial, Sam Bahadur, earned him the prestigious Best Actor (Critics) award.
The glitzy affair was attended by the who’s who of Bollywood, with celebrities gracing the red carpet in their sartorial best.
