Sikandar Kher discussed the career guidance imparted by his mother, Kirron Kher, and disclosed that he has never sought professional assistance from his parents, despite knowing they have connections in the film industry.
In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Sikandar shared that his mother, Kirron Kher, provided him with reassurance at the beginning of his career, affirming his acting abilities.Reflecting on his aspirations to become a superstar, he acknowledged that while he never received explicit feedback indicating he hadn’t succeeded, he sensed the unspoken doubts. Despite this, he appreciated the kindness of others and their encouragement, although he admitted he often doubted their sincerity. The opinions he valued most were those from home, particularly his mother’s, who he described as brutally honest.

The actor also went on to reveal that Kirron once expressed her confidence in his acting skills and encouraged him to persevere, assuring him that if acting wasn’t his forte, they would have supported him in another endeavor, such as setting up a petrol pump.

Sikandar mentioned that he has never sought assistance from either Kirron or Anupam to advocate on his behalf. He emphasized that they don’t offer advice on scripts because they understand the importance of actors learning from their own experiences, including mistakes. They are wary of recommending projects that might not succeed, recognizing the unpredictability of the industry. Sikandar highlighted that they are wise enough to recognize that his journey is his own. He acknowledged the exhilaration of success and the disappointment of failure, urging awareness of both aspects in his career.

Sikandar Kher entered the acting scene in 2008 with his debut film ‘Woodstock Villa.’ Despite facing a period of waning popularity, he experienced a resurgence by landing supporting roles in streaming projects like ‘Aarya’ and ‘Monica, O My Darling.’ Expressing his passion for acting, he emphasized his desire to continue honing his craft. Sikandar also acknowledged the transformative impact of the streaming industry, which has not only provided abundant opportunities for actors but also for directors and writers, thereby enriching the landscape of the entertainment industry.
