Nora Fatehi: Writers need to use their brains and write characters for us, we are not here just to look pretty – Exclusive | – Times of India

Nora Fatehi is usually known for her glammed up avatars and dance numbers which set the screens on fire. In no time, the actress has made a mark for herself when it comes to her dancing skills and her popularity has reached sky high. However, Nora admitted that she’s stereotyped and not many directors have been able to see beyond her glamorous image.
In her recent release, ‘Crakk’, Nora had tried her hand at action, which is a huge change for the actress. Directed by Aditya Datt and produced by Vidyut Jammwal, the film also stars Amy Jackson alongside Nora. As the team of ‘Crakk’ spoke to ETimes, Nora urged writers to think of more such interesting characters for female actors.
Amy echoed Nora’s sentiments and said, “It’s not men against women, it’s about great writers and incredible men like Aditya, Vidyut and Arjun that encourage women to perform like this.” Nora further quipped, “Yes, it’s about pushing our writers to use their brain and write good characters for women because we exist and we are not here to just look pretty.”
Having said that, Nora admitted that looking pretty is a full time job too! “Yes, we better look pretty, but it should be pretty with substance,” said Nora like a true boss lady!
