“And neither me nor my family were expecting anything like that. In fact, there was no internet, and we were quite like, ‘Hey, wow! How come our pictures are everywhere?’ And so, my team also started posting them and all that. But we were quite surprised with the response we got,” Randeep told India Today.
He described the Meiti-style wedding and praised Lin’s attire and also expressed his admiration for her cultural traditions. The actor then shared touching moments from the ceremony, including his mother’s emotional reaction and his own feelings of anticipation upon seeing Lin. He also encouraged others to explore and embrace their ancestral traditions due to its scientific significance.
Additionally, Randeep revealed that he and Lin had known each other for a long time but only started living together during the lockdown. He recalled their first meeting during a play and shared, “She was there. She came in as – a lot of people used to come in and help us out and enthusiastic students and stuff like that. So, she’s also an actor. She has featured in many films and I think she’s a damn good actor. There are fewer roles for her because of the way she looks and nothing else. So that’s where we first met, and it was not that spark and love at first sight. Ours is a deeper relationship than that.”
Randeep and Lin married at Chumthang Sanapung in Imphal on November 29.
