Alia Bhatt is set to expand her cinematic repertoire by starring in a standalone film within YRF’s Spy Universe. Speculation about her debut in the production house’s spy franchise, alongside titles like the Tiger series and ‘Pathaan,’ has been rife for some time. The confirmation of her involvement in the standalone spy film was officially announced by Yash Raj Films’ CEO, Akshaye Widhani, during the FICCI Frames event.
Alia’s standalone spy film will mark the sixth installment in YRF’s spy universe. To date, the production house has released five films within this realm, namely ‘Ek Tha Tiger,’ ‘Tiger Zinda Hai,’ ‘Tiger 3,’ ‘Pathaan,’ and ‘War.’ While Alia’s project has been officially confirmed, rumors suggest that YRF is also developing ‘War 2,’ featuring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, as well as ‘Pathaan 2,’ marking Shah Rukh Khan‘s return as Pathaan.
