Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial ‘Ramayana’ has become the talk of the town. Ranbir Kapoor, who has delivered exceptional performance with ‘Animal’ is set to play Ram in the upcoming magnum opus. The film has Ranbir, Sai Pallavi, and Yash playing the lead roles of Rama, Sita, and Ravana respectively. There were speculations that a South actor would be roped in to play the role of Ravana’s younger brother Vibhishan.Rumours were rife that Vijay Sethupathu might be playing the same.
Contrary to the buzz, ETimes has exclusively learnt that Harman Baweja is likely to play Vibhishan in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’. Harman Baweja has made quite a comeback with Hansal Mehta‘s show ‘Scoop’, in which he played the role of JCP Harshavardhan Shroff , a character based on the police officer Himanshu Roy. Looks like it is worth the wait, to see Harman Baweja transform into Vibhishan, the younger brother of Ravana, the King of Lanka, as well as the sibling of Kumbhakarna, and Shurpanakha!

Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ is set to be a trilogy, which will delve deep into the life of Lord Rama, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and his unwavering commitment to righteousness. The epic unfolds as Rama’s beloved wife, Sita, is abducted by the demon king Ravana. Determined to rescue her, Rama embarks on a perilous journey with his loyal brother Lakshmana and the devoted monkey-god Hanuman. The film will go on floors in March this year.
