In her interview with NDTV, Rakul shared, “We are 90 per cent similar besides 10 per cent, where I am a stickler for time and his time was all over the place, but it has gotten better now. We’re similar people from likes, dislikes, holiday destinations, and the food we like. From how we’re obsessed with working out. We want to work out on a holiday also. It’s really crazy.”
She revealed that not much has changed in their dynamic post-marriage. She humorously mentioned that the only noticeable difference is her reaction to being addressed as ‘Mrs.’
When asked about societal expectations regarding marriage, especially concerning dress codes, Rakul was firm in her response. She stated that neither Jackky’s nor her family had pressured her into conforming to any specific norms.
Both Rakul and Jackky resumed their professional commitments immediately after their Goa wedding. She also pointed out the gender disparity in societal expectations, questioning why women are often subjected to more scrutiny regarding post-marriage behavior and appearance compared to men. She challenged the notion by asking, “Will you ask a guy to dress a certain way after marriage?”
On the work front, Rakul will be seen in Indian 2 alongside Kamal Haasan. The film also stars Bobby Simhaa and Priya Bhavani Shankar in key roles. Jackky, on the other hand, is awaiting the release of his next production, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay, Tiger, Sonakshi Sinha, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles.
