After receiving a positive response in theaters, Siddharth Anand‘s aerial action ‘Fighter‘ was released on the OTT platform. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, among others, the film is now available on OTT, allowing audiences to enjoy it from the comfort of their homes.
Yesterday, Hrithik took to his social media handle and teased fans with a glimpse of the latest film, ‘Fighter’. In the caption, he announced, “Fighter is all set for landing! #Fighter is releasing tonight at 12 a.m. on Netflix! #FighterOnNetflix.” This means that the film will be available for streaming on Netflix India starting at midnight on Thursday, March 21.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, known for his work in ‘Pathaan’, the movie ‘Fighter’ is celebrated as a tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Indian armed forces. Presented by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Siddharth and his wife Mamata Anand’s production house, Marflix Pictures, the film promises to deliver a clear narrative honoring the valor of the military.
According to the film’s official synopsis, ‘Fighter’ revolves around a newly established elite unit called Air Dragons, commissioned by the Air Headquarters to combat militant activities in the Srinagar Valley.
“The uniform has some magic. There have been three costumes that I have worn in my career. Like in the superhero film, Krrish had a cape and a costume, and when I wore them, I felt strong. In Lakshya, when I wore the uniform (of an Indian Army officer), it gave me strength. “And in Fighter, when I wore the uniform, I felt responsibility, weight, and strength. The power you derive from a uniform is difficult to replicate. It is a surreal feeling. It works, and you actually feel the power,” Hrithik Roshan told PTI in January, ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
On the work front, Hrithik Roshan will be next seen in ‘War 2’ that will hit the screens on Independence Day in 2025. It also stars Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani in the lead roles.
