Vishal Punjabi, the talented filmmaker behind their wedding documentation, revealed on the All About Eve podcast that he had come to terms with the possibility that Ranveer and Deepika might never unveil their wedding video. He empathetically shared insights into the belief some hold about warding off the evil eye, acknowledging the sentiment. “You’ll be surprised Deepika and Ranveer didn’t share it for five years. I thought it would never be seen,” he said.
He further added, “I guess sometimes, some things are so beautiful, you don’t want to share them with the world. Nazar na lage, as moms would say, and I get that sentiment.” Vishal highlighted the pervasive toxicity of the internet, which often dissuades celebrities from sharing intimate moments from their special occasions.
Vishal, who has captured the essence of numerous star-studded weddings, including those of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, as well as Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, emphasized the intimate nature of such grand events. He explained that, despite the glitz and glamour associated with celebrity life, these couples prefer a laid-back atmosphere for their nuptials. With their daily routines already inundated with attention to hair, makeup, and wardrobe, they opt for a wedding celebration surrounded only by their closest loved ones.

Reflecting on the weddings of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, as well as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Vishal Punjabi noted the intimate, heartfelt nature of both celebrations. He highlighted that these couples chose to surround themselves with only their closest circle of friends and family, emphasizing the significance of sharing their special day with those they interact with on a daily basis. Rather than inviting a multitude of guests, they opted for a more private affair, reserving grand receptions upon their return for a wider audience. Vishal also commended their refined taste and ability to indulge in luxurious elements, which undoubtedly enhanced the splendor of their weddings, resulting in unforgettable moments of beauty and elegance.
Vishal also revealed that during Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding, the background song was performed live by Harshdeep Kaur. However, for the wedding video, Vishal organized a team consisting of lyricists and musicians to record the song separately, ensuring its inclusion in the wedding teaser. He managed this discreetly, considering the strict non-disclosure agreements signed before filming celebrity weddings.

Furthermore, Deepika is gearing up for “Kalki 2898 AD,” a captivating sci-fi adventure featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani.
On the other hand, Ranveer Singh is eagerly awaiting his collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in “Baiju Bawraa.” However, he must exercise patience as the director has announced his next project, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt. In the meantime, Ranveer is fully committed to Farhan Akhtar’s “Don 3” and will also be making a special appearance in Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again.”
