Reports on Monday, claimed that the actress and her badminton coach beau wed in an intimate ceremony, surrounded only by their closest friends and family. According to unconfirmed media reports, the wedding took place in Udaipur, with only a handful of guests in attendance and no A-list Bollywood stars.
Shortly after word spread of the couple’s alleged nuptials, photos emerged featuring Taapsee’s sister Shagun Pannu and makeup artist Evania Pannu, along with a lady believed to be Mathias’ sister Julie Boe. Additionally, some of the other guests featured in the pictures include producer-writer Kanika Dhillon, actor Pavail Gulati and badminton players Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, who are coached by Mathias. The photos see the group dressed in their traditional best Indian attire posing for happy photos amidst a backdrop of chandeliers and fairy lights.
Gulati’s caption, seemingly hinted at the bride’s preference for a low-key wedding. He humorously captioned the photo as, “Twinkle twinkle little star, we have no idea where we are!”
Another photo saw the happy bunch posing in front of a colourful backdrop with the caption ‘Team (heart).”
Meanwhile, Kanika Dhillon, known for her collaborations with Taapsee in films such as ‘Haseen Dillruba’ (2021), also shared a series of photos on Instagram showcasing her elegant peach saree ensemble. While Dhillon refrained from disclosing the occasion or venue, stylist Sugandha Sood’s caption spilled the beans, indicating that Dhillon was ‘styled for a wedding’.
Amidst wedding rumours, both Taapsee and Mathias marked the festival of Holi by celebrating with their group of friends. Interestingly, some of the people in the picture were also tagged in the photos believed to be from the secret wedding.
Despite widespread speculation surrounding their relationship status, both Taapsee and Mathias’ representatives have refrained from providing official confirmation.
