Interestingly, the only Bharat the Indian audience has always related to, was in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, which was played by Sanjay Jog who also was a Marathi speaking actor.
On the other hand, Sakshi Tanwar is all set to join Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’, creating more excitement around the highly-anticipated film. While Ranbir Kapoor is set to play the role of Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi will portray Goddess Sita, recent reports suggest that Sakshi Tanwar has also secured a role in the project.

As per a report from Filmi Beat, Sakshi Tanwar, renowned for her role in ‘Dangal’, has been finalized to portray Mandodari in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Mandodari, known as Ravana’s wife, will be depicted by Tanwar, who has been actively participating in script-reading sessions with the cast. With this new opportunity, Sakshi will be paired opposite Yash, who plays the role of Ravana in this epic tale. However, an official announcement regarding this casting is yet to be made. Additionally, actress Indira Krishna is preparing to portray Lord Rama’s mother, Kaushalya, in the movie. Krishna recently shared a glimpse of her meeting with Ranbir Kapoor, adding to the speculation.
Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, the star-studded project will include actor Ravi Dubey as Laxman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet as Shrupnakha, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. This project is scheduled to begin filming next month.
