Taylor Swift gives a peek at ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ Timetable; teases new music video | – Times of India

Taylor Swift sent fans into a frenzy with a cryptic video ahead of Friday’s big release of her 11th studio album – The Tortured Poets Department.
In the video, titled “TTPD Timetable,” Swift snuck fans in behind locked doors to give them a glimpse into what’s in store for the album’s release day. The video kicks off with a clock showing the time at 2 o’clock, leading to a calendar marking the album’s release on Friday, April 19, at 8 pm ET, followed by a tantalizing announcement: “music video release!!”

Adding to the intrigue, the video features 14 tally marks below the release time, prompting speculation about the song she has picked for the music video might launch.
Fans have speculated two possibilities. While some think that the video could be Track 14, titled ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’, others think it could be related to the first track on the album, ‘Fortnight’, featuring Post Malone, as there are also 14 days in a fortnight.

Furthermore, Swift’s video also highlights Saturday, April 20, marked as “Record store day.” This event, held twice a year, coincides with Swift’s album release this April, raising curiosity about any potential surprises Swift may have in store for fans on this day.

Meanwhile, Taylor also unveiled a pop-up to generate buzz about the upcoming album. The exhibit itself offers a variety of interactive features for fans to engage with, including a designated letter drop area. Swifties are expected to eagerly scour the installation in search of ‘hidden treasures’, lyrics and clues about the new songs.
One particularly intriguing clue took centre stage within the exhibit: an open book showcasing new lyrics, including phrases such as “One less temptress. One less dagger to sharpen,” and “Even statues crumble if they’re made to wait.” Surrounding the display were books exclusively authored by “Taylor Swift,” bearing titles reminiscent of tracks from her forthcoming album, such as “Down Bad,” “But Daddy I Love Him,” “Clara Bow,” and “The Bolter.”

Fans have been speculating for months that the new album will feature songs about her romance with Joe Alwyn. Notable among the observations made by Swifties was a library card catalogue containing 72 individual boxes, interpreted by many as the 72 months the singer dated the actor.
Additionally, attention was drawn to a sculpture placed among the bookshelves representing Diana of Ephesus, known as “the goddess of childbirth and fertility and the goddess of the moon,” adding another layer of intrigue.
“The Tortured Poets Department” will release on April 19, 2024 and feature a total of 17 tracks.
