Anil Kapoor walks out of ‘Housefull 5’ over fee issues: Report | – Times of India

With Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor reuniting for ‘Housefull 5‘, audiences were expecting to laugh their heads off! But looks like the reunion has been stalled!
After having dished out laughs in the ‘Welcome’ series, Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar were cast alongside Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh in ‘Housefull 5’. But money matters seem to have forced Anil Kapoor to quit the comedy franchise’s fifth installment.According to mid-day, the veteran actor and producer Sajid Nadiadwala disagreed over the fees that the former demanded, thus leading to Anil Kapoor quitting the project.
Following this major change in cast, the makers are now reportedly reworking Nana Patekar’s role in the film, since he was supposed to share a comedic camaraderie with Anil Kapoor. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Arjun Rampal is in talks to join the franchise. However the makers are yet to confirm the same.
The report further stated that despite this major change in casting, ‘Housefull 5’ is much on schedule and director Tarun Mansukhani will start shooting for the film by August-end with a marathon schedule in UK. The film was previously set for release during Diwali 2024 but it was then pushed it to 2025. Announcing the same, the makers shared in a statement, “The Houseful franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Houseful 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we’ve made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience. Housefull 5 will now be released on 6th June 2025.”
