‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ led by Freya Allan and directed by Wes Ball continues its domination at the box office across the globe. The film has minted nearly US $ 148 million in its first week run, out of which nearly US $ 75 million were generated just in the United States of America but there are signs of the film slowing down in India.The film was the highest grosser last week as it minted Rs 18.85 crore, beating Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Srikanth’.However on its second Friday, it earned only Rs 88 lakh, as per early estimates by Sacnilk while Rajkummar Rao’s film earned Rs 1.35 crore. The total collection of the ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ now stands at Rs 19.73 crore.
On Friday, the film earned Rs 34 lakh from its English version while Rs 41 lakh came from the Hindi version and the remaining from its Tamil and Telugu version. ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ would require a major change of fortune in the coming days if it wants to have an extended run at the Indian box office.
