As soon as the photos made their way onto the internet, likes and comments poured in from all sides. While one fan wrote, ‘Those eyes….And,2nd picture….Just like a painting’, another one added, ‘@konkonas you are instantly recognizable in these pics. Without your confirmation these pics could have been passed for an AI generated version of your childhood pics.’

Derived from a tale by Kamal Kumar Majumdar, ‘Sati’ narrates the tale of Uma, portrayed by Shabana, who, being mute, is wedded to a banyan tree due to her ominous ‘kundli’ prediction of her husband’s demise. Aparna Sen’s exploration delves into the feminist angle, highlighting the prospect of Uma enduring sati in 1828 if her husband perishes. Alongside Shabana and Konkona, Arun Banerjee also featured in the film.
Konkona will soon appear in ‘Metro…In Dino,’ whereas Shabana is set to star in ‘Bun Tikki.’
