Arbaaz Khan questions father Salim Khan on sending him and Salman Khan to boarding school during his relationship with Helen | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Arbaaz Khan recently interviewed his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, on his talk show The Invincibles. During the heartfelt conversation, Arbaaz questioned his father about his marriage to Salma Khan and how he managed to keep both sides of the family together through challenging times.
When Arbaaz asked Salim Khan about sending him and Salman Khan to boarding school during his relationship with Helen, Salim explained, “That was the only way to ensure there were no disruptions in your education.Naturally, you both would have been disturbed, which would have affected your studies. But I brought you back after two years.”
Arbaaz then inquired how Salim managed to salvage the situation without leaving either family. Salim replied, “At that time, it was crucial that my intention was understood by everyone, my kids, the household members, everyone knew that I didn’t want to leave the family or Helen. Your mother, Salma, was the first to accept Helen, and gradually, everyone started living harmoniously.”

Salim also remarked that many people have tried to depict this kind of relationship in films and real life, but it’s very difficult to give equal importance to both sides. “That’s what makes it so challenging,” he added.

Salim Khan married Sushila Charak, who later took the name Salma Khan, in 1964. Together, they have three sons – Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan. In 1981, Salim Khan married Helen, who was popular for her dancing prowess.
