Kartik Aaryan embraces the ‘outsider’ tag; takes pride in his journey | – Times of India

In an industry where nepotism often takes center stage, Kartik Aaryan stands out as a shining example of talent and perseverance. Despite making a mark in Bollywood with hits like ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ and ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety,’ Kartik remains labeled as an “outsider.” However, far from being disheartened by this tag, he wears it with pride, acknowledging the challenges it brings and the motivation it fuels within him.
Kartik’s foray into Bollywood commenced in 2011 with his debut in ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, showcasing his impeccable comedic timing and acting finesse. One of the highlights of his performance in the respective movie was his monologue, which continued to be a constant in the franchise. Further, since then, he has enthralled audiences with his memorable portrayals in films like ‘Luka Chuppi’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.
Despite his considerable achievements, Kartik remains grounded, never losing sight of his humble beginnings. Reflecting on his outsider status, in a conversation with Hindustan Times the actor expressed, “It is what it is.” He mentioned that when he started his journey, he didn’t know anyone, and even though it’s been years since his debut, the landscape hasn’t changed much for him.

“Everything’s the same for me. Some Fridays are successful and some are not. But the fact remains that I have never been an insider,” he said.
He added that somewhere he knows that he doesn’t have any other backup plan, a second or third chance to rely on. “Till date, I believe that any Friday can be a last Friday also. This is the echo that keeps on going in my mind,” he quoted.
Throughout his career, Kartik has remained steadfast in his commitment to his craft, weathering both highs and lows with grace. He takes pride in his journey and the fact that he has made it so far on his own. The actor mentioned that whosoever has made it on their own should not shy away from taking pride in the matter. He emphasized the importance of staying grounded amidst success, stating, “You cannot take success for granted.” With each project, Kartik approaches his work with humility and dedication, striving to deliver performances that resonate with audiences.

Meanwhile, looking ahead, Kartik is gearing up for the release of ‘Chandu Champion.’ With this Kabir Khan film, the actor will be seen portraying the inspiring story of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist. The journey of ‘Chandu Champion’ has not been an easy one for Kartik, but he approached it with enthusiasm and commitment, eager to do justice to Petkar’s remarkable story.
