Kartik’s foray into Bollywood commenced in 2011 with his debut in ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, showcasing his impeccable comedic timing and acting finesse. Reflecting on his outsider status, in a conversation with Hindustan Times the actor expressed, “It is what it is.” He mentioned that when he started his journey, he didn’t know anyone, and even though it’s been years since his debut, the landscape hasn’t changed much for him.
“Everything’s the same for me. Some Fridays are successful and some are not. But the fact remains that I have never been an insider,” he said.
He added that somewhere he knows that he doesn’t have any other backup plan, a second or third chance to rely on. “Till date, I believe that any Friday can be a last Friday also. This is the echo that keeps on going in my mind,” he quoted.
Throughout his career, Kartik has remained steadfast in his commitment to his craft, weathering both highs and lows with grace. He takes pride in his journey and the fact that he has made it so far on his own. The actor mentioned that whosoever has made it on their own should not shy away from taking pride in the matter.
