As the movie marks eight years since its premiere, the Deva actor took a trip down memory lane and posted throwback pictures on social media.
On June 17, Shahid Kapoor took to his social media and shared a string of pictures featuring his stills from ‘Udta Punjab’. “Party 8 saal baad bhi-Going Hard!!,” he captioned the post along with a fire and a collision emoji. The first picture showcased a monochromatic picture of Shahid embracing long hair and a sharp mustache. A tattoo with “Mamma Da Boy” written on Shahid’s chest can also be seen.
The film’s title track plays in the background while Shahid plays Tommy Singh in a series of contrasted glimpses. In the video, Alia Bhatt co-stars with him in a scene. A mirror selfie taken from the vanity van is followed by a still from the film. The post also featured pictures of Shahid’s preparations for the shot and his toned and muscular physique while working out throughout the intense training sessions.
Shahid’s loving brother and actor Ishaan Khatter reacted to the post shortly after it was uploaded and commented, “GABRUUU,” followed by a fire and a rock sign hand emoji. The ‘Deva’ actor’s post was adored by many fans who praised his work. A fan wrote, “Ain’t nobody like the OG GABRU,” another fan commented, “Kya hi acting thi,” while a third fan shared, “You nailed the role.”
