Vineet Kumar Singh is still thrilled by the standing ovation his new film Superboys of Malegaon received at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Described the experience as “magical,” he told ETimes, “We had a full house, and the international audience loved it.”
This was Vineet’s third visit to TIFF, and he shared, “My first TIFF experience was with Mukkabaaz, and now it’s Superboys of Malegaon.As soon as the film ended, the audience stood up and gave us a standing ovation. I can still hear the clapping and whistling; it felt like a dream, and I’m so happy.”
Superboys of Malegaon is a 2024 Hindi film directed by Reema Kagti, based on the life of Nasir Shaikh and other amateur filmmakers from the city of Malegaon. The film has touched audiences worldwide with its inspiring story.

Vineet Kumar Singh’s Insight on OTT vs Box Office Clash

Written by Varun Grover, the film features Adarsh Gourav, Shashank Arora and Vineet Kumar Singh in the lead. Saqib Ayub, Manjiri Pupala, Anuj Singh Duhan, and Ali Abbas are also a part of the project.

The film is also scheduled to be screened at BFI London Film Festival on October 10. In theatres, it will come out in January 2025 before its streaming launch on Prime Video.
