Sector 36: Chilling Revelations Inspired by the Nithari Killings | – Times of India

Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal starrer ‘Sector 36’ is loosely based on the Nithari killings, in which Moninder Singh Pandher and his servant Surinder Koli were accused of abduction, rape, murder, and cannibalism. While the real story of the Nithari killings is nothing less than a horror account, ‘Sector 36’ also showcases such gruesome things that will send chills down your spine.Read below to know more about them:
The lifeless body of Tumpa
The first case that ‘Secto 36’ shows is regarding a 14-year-old girl Tumpa, who goes missing while returning from school. While her father is unaware of the tragic fate his daughter has met with, he religiously visits the police station to request the cops for investigation. The poster of Tampa’s missing joins the unsolved missing children cases, while her lifeless body is at Prem Singh’s restroom and he chops her into pieces as it pleases him.
The police’s reluctance to file the FIR
Since all the kids who went missing came from poor families of immigrants, the police showed zero effort in filing their complaints. When Tumpa’s father put emotional pressure on the cop to file the FIR, also the cop gave him money instead of taking him seriously. The police officer further assured him that Tumpa wasn’t missing, she simply ran away and will come back soon.
Overlooking the evidence

When a human bone is discovered in the sewer near the house of horror, the police officers don’t pay much heed to the matter. Instead of investigating the case, they said that the bone was not from a human skeleton and belonged to an animal, most probably a monkey. They awarded the young kid Ali who found the bone for his awareness of contacting the police on noticing something suspicious, but didn’t take the case seriously. Later, Ali is abducted from the area and killed by Prem Singh.
Prem Singh’s admission of murders

Based on various evidence and theories, the cops finally call Prem Singh to investigate him in the matter of Chumki Ghosh’s disappearance. Initially, he refuses to answer the cops, as he is getting late to see his favorite quiz show, but the psychologically upset man cracks easily when asked about Chumki. He not only admits to killing and then raping Chumki, he provides a detailed narration of all that he did with Chumki. Later, he also spills that Chumki was not his first prey, and with pride, he admits the killing of around 24 children. He doesn’t shy away from sharing the gruesome details.
Cannibalism
Besides admitting to abduction, rape, and murder, Prem Singh flaunted his love for enjoying human flesh. He mentions that acquired a taste for human flesh right after his first kill. He did try to stay away from it for a year, but it wasn’t easy. Therefore, he occasionally feasted on his kills and then sold their organs to make a hefty amount of money. According to him, the kids he killed had no future whatsoever, he knew no one would miss them, and their disappearance would not change anything.
