Siddhant Chaturvedi‘s latest film ‘Yudhra‘ is struggling to hold its ground at the box office, after receiving rather mixed reviews from the audience and opening to an average collection. The film has already crossed the Rs 10 crore mark in its first week but its future looks slightly bleak.

Siddhant got his breakout role in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy‘ and then went on to do films like ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’, ‘Phone Bhoot’, and ‘Gehraiyaan’ but success has eluded him post his first film.A lot of his hopes were pinned on ‘Yudhra’ but going by the box office performance, things didn’t go as planned.
‘Yudhra’ released on 20th September, which was National Cinema Day with tickets priced at Rs 99 and the film went on to mint Rs 4.5 crore. Post that, on Saturday the film crashed to Rs 1.75 crore on Saturday, with Sunday seeing some spike to collect Rs 2.25 collection, but on Monday, the film’s collections dipped once again to earn just Rs 80 lakh. On Tuesday, the film saw another drop in numbers, earning just around Rs 66 lakh and saw a further decline on Wednesday, earning its lowest collections of Rs 52 lakh, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. The total collection of the film now stands at an estimated Rs 10.48 crore. The film’s budget is reportedly pegged at Rs 50 crore.

After ‘Yudhra’, Siddhant has two significant projects on the horizon. He is set to star in ‘Dhadak 2‘ alongside Triptii Dimri, a film produced by Karan Johar. Additionally, he has secured a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next production, directed by Ravi Udyawar, where he will be paired with Mrunal Thakur.
