NCT‘s Jaehyun has finally picked a date to enlist in the military. The star, who is set to fulfil his mandatory military service, will reportedly do so on November 4.
On September 26, SM Entertainment officially announced Jaehyun’s enlistment, confirming that he will join the Army Band, having received acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration. The agency has stated that there will be no public event on the day of his enlistment at the recruit training centre, a decision made to ensure safety and avoid congestion, especially given the presence of many soldiers and their families.
This marks another moment of transition for NCT, following the earlier enlistment of fellow member Taeyong earlier this year. Jaehyun, a permanent member of NCT 127 alongside Taeyong, Johnny, Doyoung, Mark, Haechan, Jungwoo, and the currently inactive WinWin, has played a key role in the group’s success. Known for their electrifying performances and chart-topping hits like ‘Simon Says’, ‘Kick It’, and their breakout track ‘Cherry Bomb’, NCT 127 has carved a unique niche in the K-pop landscape.Renowned for his smooth vocals, creative dance moves, and striking visuals, Jaehyun has become an essential member of NCT, impressing fans with his talent. He also made his acting debut in 2022, showcasing his versatility in the romance drama ‘Dear M’, where he played the lead role.
Adding to his impressive resume, Jaehyun made his solo debut on August 26, 2024, with the album ‘J’, and is set to appear in the forthcoming film ‘You Will Die After Six Hours’ as well as the 2025 drama ‘I Believe You’. NCT is distinguished by its innovative concept, comprising 25 members divided into various sub-units, including NCT 127, NCT U, NCT Dream, Wish, and WayV. Each sub-unit targets different musical styles and demographics, blending diverse genres and themes to deliver fresh, engaging music that resonates with a global audience.
