‘Devara: Part 1’ advance box office collection: The Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor starrer expected to cross Rs 80 crore worldwide on opening day! | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Jr NTR is going to be back in cinemas today, on September 27, as his film ‘Devara: Part 1’ releases worldwide. The film has a huge Pan India release in various languages – in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil. The film is releasing in 2D and 3D Imax formats. The film is creating a lot of buzz even as far as its advance bookings are concerned, and thus is expected to remain the talk of the town over the next few days.
By the night of September 26, the film had already managed to cross Rs 75 crore worldwide gross in terms of the advance ticket sales, according to sacnilk. This is the biggest ever advance sales for any Indian movie worldwide. Moreover, the movie is expected to cross Rs 40 crore in India, as per the advance bookings. These numbers can further see a huge jump with the current bookings added in and with positive word of mouth.
With the current bookings also added in, the film is expected to make Rs 70 crore gross in the Telugu states and be the biggest opening ever in these parts of the country. However, the Hindi version of the movie is expected to open at Rs 5-6 crore on the opening day which is decent. The popularity of Jr NTR in the Northen part of the country has increased post the release of his last movie ‘RRR’ and hence, there can be a jump further in the Hindi collection of the movie. Moreover, it’s also getting a wide release in Hindi and a lot of promotions, as it’s presented by Karan Johar and Anil Thadani.
Overall, with the advance and current bookings of the film, ‘Devara: Part 1’ is expected to have a worldwide gross collection on Day 1 of Rs 125 crore and above. The domestic gross collection of the movie in all languages combined is expected to be around Rs 80 crore.
