Ajay Devgn and Tabu‘s musical romantic film ‘Auron Mein Kya Dum Tha‘ had released on August 2 but it did not create wonders at the box office. However, this Neeraj Pandey directorial, did get its share of appreciation from some and fans obviously were waiting for the movie for Ajay and Tabu’s pairing in a romantic movie after a while. For those who have missed this one in cinemas, the film has now released on OTT.
‘Auron Mein Kya Dum Tha’ has now begun streaming from today, September 27 onwards on Amazon Prime.The digital streaming platform, took to their social media today and made this announcement.
The film revolved around the journey of these two lovers who were separated and meet after 23 years again, after Krishna (played by Ajay) serves his punishment in jail. The film also has some mystery, thriller element to it, as it remains unknown as to why he was in Jail and the movie slowly unfolds it. During a chat with ETimes, Tabu had spoken about the film and said, “Yes, there is this feeling of nostalgia which ‘Auron Mein Kya Dum Tha’ has. The feeling of nostalgia is what has helped this film. There is a feeling of believability in this film when you see Ajay and me together. That we have met after 23 years and could not be together for whatever reason.”
She further added, “People are invested in our relationship onscreen because of they have seen iconic (if I may say), films and characters. Especially, ‘Drishyam’ franchise in the recent past. Vijay Salgaonkar and Meera Deshmukh are a combination for them. So, it’s easy for people to connect us in any form, be it – ‘Bholaa’, ‘Drishyam’, ‘De De Pyaar De’. We also picked films that will suit where we are at that point in time. Ajay also has the ability of doing different genres and fitting into every film.”

‘Auron Mein Kya Dum Tha’ starred Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar as young Ajay and Tabu. The movie also has Jimmy Shergill in an extended cameo. While it did not create much of a stir at the box office, it may get a great response on OTT. Must wait to find that out!
