In a recent interview with Money Control, Raaj Shaandilyaa, the director of ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, shared insights about casting Mallika Sherawat. He revealed that he had specifically written the role for her, emphasizing that she was his only choice.
When he first contacted her, Mallika mistakenly thought he was offering her a song. Upon learning about the role tailored for her, she quickly agreed. “I wrote the character only for Mallika Sherawat. I only had Mallika Sherawat in my mind for that role of 1990s ka heroine to be cast opposite Vijay Raaz,” Shaandilyaa stated. This sentiment underscores not only Sherawat’s enduring appeal but also the nostalgia associated with her early career.
‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, which stars Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri, is set to hit theaters on October 11, 2024.
