Govinda was admitted to the hospital on October 1 as the actor got shot on his leg accidentally, with his own licensed revolver. The actor was immediately rushed to the Criticare hospital in Juhu. When this incident took place, his wife was not in town. She was in Kolkata and soon rushed to Mumbai as soon as she got to know of this.
The actor was recuperating at the hospital after the doctors removed the bullet from his leg.And now, his wife Sunita spoke to the paps and has given an update on his health. She said, “Govinda ki tabiyat ab theek hai. Mostly aaj shaamko ya kal unko discharge denge. Abhi bohot theek hai. Aaj toh nahi, shayad kal hi discharge denge. (He is doing fine now, mostly he will be discharged today evening or tomorrow. He is doing much better now. Not today, but mostly tomorrow only he will be discharged).”
Sunita also revealed that on the first day of navratri, she has come to the hospital after praying and she’s even prayed for him. She then laughed and said, “Hero hai woh waise bhi jaldi theek ho jayega. (He’s a hero, he will recover soon).”
Meanwhile, Govinda had sent a voice note from the hospital, reacting to the incident. He had assured his fans that he is fine and expressed gratitude for everyone’s prayers.
He had said, “Namaskar, pranaam, main hoon Govinda, aap sab logon ke aashirwad aur maa-baap ka aashirwad, guru ki kripa ke wajah se goli lagi thi par woh nikaal di gayi hai. Main dhanyavad deta hoon yahan ke doctor ka, aadarniya doctor Agarwal ji ka aur aap sab logon ki prarthana jo hai, aap logon ka dhanyavad, pranaam (I am Govinda. Thanks to your blessings, my parents’ blessings, and the grace of my guru, I was shot, but the bullet has been taken out. I thank the doctors here, especially Dr. Agarwal, and I appreciate all your prayers).”
Govinda’s manager had said that this incident took place when the actor was cleaning his revolver at 4 45 am as he was about to jet off to Kolkata. The police had also then taken the actor and his wife’s statement on the same. Govinda’s children Tina and Yashvardhan Ahuja have also been with him.
Meanwhile, Krushna Abhishek‘s wife Kashmera Shah, Aarti Singh, Raveena Tandon, Shatrughan Sinha and other celebs visited the actor in the hospital.
