Ruslaan box office collection: Aayush Sharma starrer Ruslaan earns just Rs 4 crore in its opening week on day 8 | – Times of India

After films like Loveyatri and Antim- The Final Truth, Aayush Sharma was back on the big screen with Ruslaan. This was his first film outside Salman Khan’s banner. But even this film is struggling at the box office. The film opened to an underwhelming Rs 60 lakhs on Friday and saw a miniscule jump to Rs 80 lakh on Saturday and Rs 90 lakh on Sunday, thus taking the weekend total to Rs 2.30 crore.

Going by the numbers one would have expected the film to hold on its first Monday but the film crashed by 55 % to collect Rs 40 lakh. The film then saw a jump of about 38% to collect Rs 55 lakh on Tuesday but the film crashed once again on Wednesday and Thursday where it collected Rs 46 lakh and Rs 31 lakh respectively as per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 4.02 crore.
Interestingly, this is Aayush’s poorest-performing film to date. His previous releases, ‘Loveyatri’ had collected Rs 10.70 crore and ‘Antim’ had grossed Rs 29.35 crore in their opening weeks. Meanwhile, ‘Ruslan’ might get another week at the box office as no big films are releasing and all old films like ‘Maidaan’ and ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ are already in their third week and and are running out of steam.
