Viraj Ghelani says he had ‘bad experience’ shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’; reveals he was spoken to rudely on set | – Times of India

Viraj Ghelani recently opened up about his time on the set of Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, during a podcast on The Having Said That Show. The content creator revealed that his experience was less than stellar, describing an unwelcoming work environment where he faced rudeness.
Viraj recently described his experience working on Jawan with director Atlee, expressing his frustration with the set’s work culture. He felt overlooked compared to the big stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt. He recounted a particular incident where, despite his role as a cop with a gun, the prop was taken away and never returned, leaving him stuck in an awkward situation.

Viraj also mentioned feeling sidelined, saying he felt like just a blurry background presence despite his efforts. He spent ten days filming in intense May heat, only to find that only the footage from the first day was used. He criticized how creators are often cast merely for their star power.

In addition to Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, Jawan featured Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Sanya Malhotra, and Riddhi Dogra in key roles, with a special appearance by Sanjay Dutt. The vigilante action-thriller showcased Shah Rukh Khan in a double role, marking a notable return to this format.
