A NI Mal is one of the most renowned, competent and skilled dancers and choreographers in his profession and genre worldwide.
Born in Ivory Coast, he later spent several years in French Guyana (FG South America) before moving to the dance capital of Europe – Paris. Starting to dance at a very young age always favoring the different street styles, he has trained himself professionally in genres such as Dancehall, Passa Passa, Hip Hop, House, Breaking, Popping, Locking, traditional African dance, and acrobatics.
After winning several big dance contests in FG he started to gain acknowledgment and creating a name & fame for himself by giving masterclasses around the world. He has co-choreographed a number for “So You Think You Can Dance” in France when one of France's biggest Hip Hop events "WHO IZ WHO" this year decided to add Dancehall as a category to the event for the first time, A NI Mal was the chosen judge, which truly shows his position on the Dancehall scene.
He has performed on big stages with both international and national (FRA) artists, participated in videos, TV-shows, etc.
He now travels regularly holding workshops, judging dance competitions, choreographing for artists and participating in various dance projects all over the world in countries such as Brazil, USA, Russia, Italy, Sweden, France to name a few.
He has been invited to collaborate with artists such as Beenie Man, Aidonia, Black Eyed Peas, Montell Jordan, Kris(FRA), Colonel Reyel(FRA), and many more.
One thing that sets A NI Mal apart from most dancers in his genre is his deep knowledge and experience of dancehall culture and history. Moving to FG at a very young age he was there exposed to the rich dancehall culture from the time that it started to spread from Jamaica to the rest of the world. Growing up in this environment -where dancehall was something you lived not something you did- truly shaped A NI Mal into the dancer that we see today.
A NI Mal has a very natural, fluid and unique style combining high technical skills with influences from his training in different styles. He holds the very unusual blend of huge talent and skills as a dancer with extreme professionalism, pedagogy, and humility as a teacher which is one of the key factors in his huge success. All of this put together with a strong charisma, high energy, humor, and simplicity makes A NI Mal one of a kind and a name to look out for in the future!
