Back home after a luxurious Thanksgiving weekend in New York City, HGTV star Christina Haack (formerly Hall), who’s been embroiled in a messy divorce from her third husband Josh Hall since July 2024, kicked off December by signaling she’s focused on the future and a fresh start.
In her Instagram Stories on the night of December 2, 2024, the “Christina on the Coast” star made the bold declaration that “there are still good men left” with a photo of construction contractor Michael Lange putting up a Christmas tree at her home in Newport Beach, California, and also shared a photo from her fourth tattoo removal treatment for the wedding ring inked around her finger.
Christina Haack Says She Agrees That ‘Everything Happens for a Reason’
Home from a few luxurious days in New York with her teen daughter Taylor, whom she shares with first husband and fellow HGTV star Tarek El Moussa, Haack wasted no time ushering in the new.
On December 1, she shared a post in her Stories from the Instagram account Law of Attraction Live with a lengthy reflection on why “everything happens for a reason.” Haack added her own caption to the text, writing, “Everything…even the choices that make zero sense right now. Someday they will, they always do. 💯 Making sure my kids learn from mine is enough to make it all worth it.”
The next day, she was posting about putting up holiday decorations. In the photo she shared of Lange, only his jeans and boots could be seen sticking out from under the Christmas tree as boxes of decorations surrounded him.
“There are still a few good men left,” Haack captioned the Story. “One of them right here single handedly hoisted this 11 foot tree into my home. Appreciate you, @capo_a_general”
Haack also posted a photo of her bandaged wrist and wedding ring finger at the office of Newport Beach plastic surgeon Dr. Jonathan Zelken, captioning the photo “Round 4 of tattoo removal.” She began the laser removal process in August, a few weeks after filing for divorce from Hall, according to People.
Those forward-focused posts came after Haack took Taylor, 13, to New York City for a glamorous Thanksgiving weekend, which Haack documented in her Instagram Stories. Their outings included dinner at Centurion “55 floors up with the best view,” she shared, breakfast at Tiffany’s, lunch at the Le Café Louis Vuitton, and seeing “The Notebook” on Broadway.
Haack also shared a New York post in her Instagram feed on November 29, which she captioned, “The last half of this year has included a lot of amazing trips in between filming a new show (that I can’t wait to come out in January). Four days in NYC on a mommy – daughter trip has been the best. Grateful for this time together laughing, eating, exploring and shopping our way through New York.”

Haack and Hall’s very public divorce has not been finalized, but she hired Hollywood power lawyer Laura Wasser on November 21 to replace her prior divorce attorney, hoping for a speedy end to their drawn-out split.
Hall, meanwhile, seems to also be looking for a fresh start, given that he finally deleted all references to and photos of Hall from his Instagram feed. He had kept them up for months after filing for divorce in July, but left just 10 posts up on his feed with photos of himself with friends and his parents.
Meanwhile, a new episode of “Christina in the Country” premieres on December 3 at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
