Cher is spoiling the 5-year-old son, Slash, of her boyfriend Alexander Edwards, according to In Touch Weekly.
The publication says that the former “Dancing With the Stars” guest judge has always wanted grandchildren but hasn’t gotten them so she is “jumping at this chance to have a cute little kid in her life.”
“The best part is they just do fun things together,” the source told In Touch. “She lets A.E. and Amber handle all the discipline and the hard stuff. Not that there’s a whole lot of that needed because he’s a really sweet little guy.”
Slash is Edwards’ son with influencer Amber Rose. She said on the “Jason Lee” podcast that she is fine with the relationship, noting, “I’m very happy that he’s with Cher because it creates stability for when [our] son goes over there. That it’s not all mayhem and stuff.”
According to People, Edwards and Cher have dated since 2022. He is 38, and she is 78-years-old.

The report says Cher enjoys seeing the world through childhood innocence.
The source added, “Cher isn’t trying to play stepmom to Slash. She’s very clear that she’s not interested in that role, she’s more interested in being like a fun fairy godmother,” the insider says. “His wish is basically her command. She’s having the best time with him.”
“Cher loves making him laugh and will play with him for hours. He’s totally giving her a chance to see the world through a kid’s eyes again and she’s loving it,” the source told In Touch.
“She’s really excited about Christmas this year because she can go all out with the presents and all the fun holiday traditions. She’s even got a Santa suit for A.E. to dress up in. She’s having a ball,” added the source.

In 2023, Cher opened up about her relationship with Edwards, a rapper, to Extra.
“I hate to talk about how happy I am, but no, we have a great time together. We can talk music. We can talk about everything. He’s a got a great sense of humor, he’s got the cutest son in the world, ever… We just get each other,” she told Extra.
Cher did not deny that the age gap can pose issues.
“Sometimes I’m talking to him and he has no idea who I’m talking about… The other day, I said, ‘Do you know who, I don’t know, Clark Gable, [is]?’ Somebody said, ‘Yes, of course,’ but most of my references… He’ll look at me and go, ‘I wasn’t born yet,’” she said in that interview.
She called Edwards shy and reserved in that interview.
