Country Star Chayce Beckham Reveals Wedding Plans After Onstage Proposal

Rising country star and season 19 “American Idol” winner Chayce Beckham has a big year ahead, with new music climbing the charts and a wedding in the works, too.

Three months after a very public proposal to his longtime girlfriend, Ashley, Beckham told ABC Audio on January 13, 2025, that they are “very excited” about getting an Elvis Presley impersonator to marry them in Las Vegas.

Chayce Beckham Says He’s Always Wanted Elvis to Marry Him

Though Beckham has kept his personal life pretty quiet, he staged a public proposal that Ashley and his fans wouldn’t forget on October 24. The “23” singer got down on his knee in the middle of a concert in Anaheim, California, to ask Ashley Cooke to marry him, popping back up to say, “She said yes, everybody, she said yes!”

Now, the couple is planning a 2025 wedding in Las Vegas, though a date hasn’t been set.

He told ABC Audio, “(I) got engaged to my longtime girlfriend and, yeah, we’ll get married in Vegas sometime (this) year. Just do a little white chapel-type deal. We don’t want to do the big wedding, and we’ll have a big celebration.”

The country crooner added, “We’ve always wanted to get married by Elvis, so that’s what we’re going to do.”

Beckham told the outlet that they almost got married in Vegas while on tour with “Idol” judge Luke Bryan, who’s become his mentor and friend since his big win, and their shared manager, Kerri Edwards.

“We almost did it … while Luke had his residency in Vegas,” Beckham said. “‘Cause we were like, ‘How cool would it be if Kerri and Luke were our witnesses at the chapel?’ But yeah, we put it off. We actually did it the real way. We got engaged. So we’re excited.”

In addition to his wedding plans, Beckham has also been very focused on giving back to his community. In December, he went home to Apple Valley, California, where he surprised 30 kids at the same park and rec afterschool program he attended as a kid.

Beckham surprised them all with new guitars, according to a press release from BBR Music, the record label he’s been with since winning “Idol” in May 2021. Beckham partnered with Gibson Gives and Free Guitars 4 Kids to deliver the new instruments and speak with kids at Singh Center for the Arts.

The country singer, whose current single “Everything I Need” is climbing the charts, has also spoken out about the wildfires that have devastated parts of Los Angeles since January 7.

On January 12, he posted a link to donation sites in his Instagram Stories and wrote, “There are so many people who are in need of help who have lost absolutely everything, if you can please donate to help. My thoughts are prayers with California, this is truly heartbreaking to see.”
