Jenna Lyons went rogue with her “Real Housewives of New York City” reunion look. The former J. Crew executive creative director and president showed up to tape the season-ending sitdown wearing a bathrobe, albeit a fashionable one.
According to The Daily Dish, Lyons, 56, wore a black Balenciaga robe paired with Louboutins, a hair wrap, and black sunglasses to the reunion. She did not change into another outfit for the Bravo update show hosted by Andy Cohen.
Lyons explained, “I just wanted to do something unexpected and playful. I can’t compete in the sexy dress category!”
Lyons’ bathrobe look received lots of attention on social media.
“Icon status,” wrote her co-star Erin Lichy.
“Yeah, hell yeah. 🙌🏽,” added co-star Sai De Silva.
On his Instagram story, Cohen even wrote, “[Jenna Lyons’] reunion look DID. ME .IN.”
The Other RHONY Stars Wore Black & Gold Gowns

Lyons’ RHONY co-stars went much more traditional with their reunion outfits. The other cast members coordinated wearing gowns in either black, tan, or gold.
Ubah Hassan wore an understated black cocktail dress, while co-star Brynn Whitfield went full glam in a feather-laden Taller Marmo tan gown, which she described to Bravo as “very Zsa Zsa [Gabor].”
De Silva wore a black Christopher John Rogers ballgown, and newcomer Racquel Chevremont combined the color scheme with a floral-patterned Carolina Herrera dress inspired by Andy Warhol paintings.
Jessel Taank also wore black — a tiered Maticevski mermaid style gown — and an expectant Lichy glittered in a metallic gold fitted Bottega Veneta dress.
On her Instagram story, Lichy responded to fans who questioned if she copied another Housewives star’s dress. “For those asking if this is the same dress other Housewives wore the answer is no. This is Bottega runway,” she captioned a photo of her cradling her belly while wearing the shiny gown.
“I can’t even begin to tell you the drama that went on with this dress,” she added. “It’s NOT easy dressing up for a reunion 6 mo. pregnant.”
Jenna Lyons Went Outside the Box for the Season 14 Reunion Too

While Lyons’ reunion look was the most unconventional, it’s not the first time she’s dressed outside of the box. For her season 14 reunion look in 2023, Lyons stunned everyone when she showed up in blue jeans.
The fashion maven wore Levi’s jeans paired with a black Saint Laurent jacket and tie and a Thom Browne button-down blouse, per BravoTV.com. After adding Dries Van Noten sandals and jewelry from Ultimate Diamond, Lyon’s semi-casual reunion look came to $4,195.00, per @bravoknowledge.
Of the stir her jeans caused, Lyons told People magazine, she thought it was “so funny” that the move was considered “groundbreaking” because she “put zero thought into it.”
“It’s hysterical,” she told the outlet in November 2023. “I am just shocked and amazed at the attention it got. I didn’t realize it would be so controversial, it was not intentional. I’m also like, first of all, who cares? And second, this idea that I can’t wear them to a reunion or I was somehow a faux pas — who made the rules? Does anybody really want me to come out there in a full-length sparkly gown? Really? I don’t think that’s what you want from me.”
