Pamela Anderson is sharing lessons from what she’s called a “wild and crazy” life, as well as her hopes for the future.
Martha Stewart interviewed Anderson for a profile in “Elle.” Anderson is coming off of a season of awards and accolades for her performance in “The Last Showgirl.”
“It wasn’t my intention when I went makeup-free for anyone to say anything. I didn’t think anyone would notice,” she told Stewart of her highly publicized decision to forgo makeup for red carpet appearances. She does appear back in makeup in the Elle article, though. She also told Stewart that appearing on a famous “Playboy” cover led to this “wild and crazy” life.
“I’ve always been a little bit of a rebel. I decided that I don’t have to wear makeup every day or be in a hair and makeup chair every day,” Anderson said, but she also told Stewart that she loves glamour and beauty and is trying to find her next “incarnation.”

Anderson also revealed how she stays in such good shape. “I take care of myself, too. I eat healthy, I’m always outside walking,” she told Stewart in Elle. “I’ve always been active, so that’s what keeps me in shape. I don’t go to the gym or anything like that.”
She described her typical day back home on Vancouver Island, where she now lives. “I pruned back my roses yesterday. I moved my parents onto the property, so I cook for them. It’s fun to make my dad eat more vegetables,” she told Stewart.
Anderson added, “I consider myself a homemaker. I love to bake and cook.”
Pamela Anderson & Martha Stewart Discussed How Hollywood Treats Women

Anderson and Stewart commiserated about how Hollywood treats women. “It’s hard to navigate a business that is based on physical beauty and also naïveté,” Anderson said in Elle.
“You’re in this business and you want to please people and you have a gut feeling that maybe it’s not the right thing to do, and you can get yourself in these dangerous situations. I was such a shy young girl, if you can believe it—I wanted to do anything to stop being shy,” Anderson added.
Anderson also spoke about the future in the interview.
“I do have a few short stories that I’m working on…I don’t know what they’ll become. They might become short films. There are a lot of people talking to me about a lot of different things right now, which is really exciting, but I have no shortage of ideas,” she told Elle.
