Paige DeSorbo says she is freezing her eggs. One month after announcing her surprise breakup from “Southern Charm” star Craig Conover, the 32-year-old Bravo star is thinking about her future.
Speaking on her “Giggly Squad” podcast on January 28, DeSorbo told her co-host Hannah Berner she made an appointment to freeze her eggs. Berner appeared stunned by the news.
“Huge,” DeSorbo agreed. “I wanted to do it, like I would say probably in like, last year. I was like probably in the spring, I was like, okay, 2025, I’m freezing my eggs,” she explained. “And I had it like on my list. I was like, okay, 2025, I’m freezing my eggs. I was like, okay, tour is over. …So, I made my first appointment.”
DeSorbo said she will need a couple of weeks of downtime because she will have to pump herself with hormones. She also shared that this was always her plan. “I’ve always known that I have to freeze my eggs,” the “Summer House” star said. “Because I just feel like it’s such a safety. Because here’s the thing. Like when I first decided to freeze my eggs, it wasn’t like ‘Oh my God my career.’ Like, I genuinely thought like at 32 I would have a kid. But it always, in the back of my head, I was like ‘what if I get to like 39, 40 and I’m like wait, I want one more.’ So that was always my thought process on freezing my eggs.”
She noted that her situation is a bit “different” now, presumably due to her split from Conover, whom she dated for three years. “So now it’s different, I’m like, I need it as like a security I think. But it is like making me relax a little bit though, knowing like I’m doing it,” she said.
DeSorbo shared she will likely go through the egg retrieval process in March 2025.
Craig Conover Froze His Sperm in 2024

“Southern Charm” fans know that Conover wants to be a father so badly that he froze his sperm. In a season 10 scene filmed last summer when he was still with DeSorbo, he revealed that he went to a sperm bank as an insurance policy.
“Me and Paige have decided to freeze my sperm,” the 35-year-old Sewing Down South founder told co-stars Shep Rose and Austen Kroll in the episode “Sew Not Invited.”
A flashback showed DeSorbo calling Conover’s idea “the craziest thing in the world.”
Conover explained his thinking to Rose and Kroll. “I read about this person who got in a car accident … they can’t produce anymore,” he said. “I would be remiss to not say that becoming a dad is, probably, whatever it’s called if it has to happen in my future.”
In a confessional, he admitted that his life hadn’t gone as “planned,” but agreed that he and DeSorbo shouldn’t rush things.
In “Summer House” season 8, Conover said he wanted to be a father by age 40 or else he might have some “resentment” about the situation.
DeSorbo responded on the “Summer House After Show.” “When Craig’s ovaries come in, he can decide when he wants to have a baby,” she said in May 2024, per BravoTV.com. “I love a timeline. I love when people are planning things out for their lives. [But] I think [having] babies is something that you really can’t plan. Also, I’m the one that has to have it. So, I love that he has a timeline, but we will compromise and go by my timeline for a baby because, again, I’m the one that will carry it for nine months, and my life and job will change, and literally nothing will change for him until the day I pop that kid out.”
Craig Said Paige’s Behavior Was Confusing

In another “Southern Charm” episode, Conover described DeSorbo’s behavior as “confusing.” “I think everyone knows that, if it was up to me, we would just get engaged. But she changes her mind a lot,” he said of DeSorbo in the season 10 episode “Overtures and Outbursts.”
“One day she’ll text me and say, ‘Let’s build a [expletive] farmhouse in the middle of nowhere.’ Or, ‘I’m moving to Charleston.’ And then she’ll have a good day in New York and be like, ‘I love it up here,’” he said. “It gets confusing.”
In a confessional, Cononover admitted he was okay with waiting a little while to start a family, but he expressed concerns about DeSorbo’s timeline. “Me waiting a few years to have a kid, not a big deal,” he said. “But what I’m risking is what if Paige wants to turn those couple years into 10 years?”
