Reality star Kim Kardashian has debuted a new look after lopping seven inches off of her famous long, dark hair.

The “Kardashians” star unveiled the new hairdo at the Fourth Annual Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles Feb. 1. The gala supports black businesses.
The 44-year-old reality star’s longtime hairdresser Chris Appleton shared details of the haircut in an Instagram post. Appleton captioned the post, “Love this new chop on kim, we got 7 inches off her hair! (No it’s not a wig before u start lol) To style we opt for an iconic Deep side part Tom Ford Gucci 96 inspired.”
Kim Kardashian Sings the Praises of 15 Percent Pledge Fundraiser
Kardashian herself also posted about her attendance at the 15 Percent Pledge Fundraiser, but made no mention of her new haircut.
Instead, Kardashian expressed her support for the work the organization is doing. ” It’s an incredible organization supporting Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs, ensuring they have the resources and support they need to grow and thrive. A portion of the proceeds from the weekend went to support businesses impacted in Altadena,” Kardashian posted.
New Look Comes on the Heels of New Trailer for “The Kardashians”
Kim’s dramatic new look comes hard on the heels of the release of the trailer for season six of her family’s reality show “The Kardashians.”
In the trailer, Kim reveals that history is repeating itself as she takes on the role of “Momager” for daughter North’s burgeoning singing career. North West performed as Simba in Disney’s 30th anniversary tribute to The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl last year. Kim gasps, “I’m Kris Jenner. Oh my God, I’m Kris Jenner, what’s happening?” The family coined the phrase “Momager” when mother Kris Jenner famously managed her daughters’ skyrocketing careers.
The trailer also teases a 40th birthday celebration for Khloe and hints at a mend at the rift between Kim and sister Kourtney. And It seems to indicate a new romance for Kim. “I had the intention of staying single. I was fully lying to you guys,” Kim says in a confessional in the trailer. “Me, not dating and not wanting love and attention? I don’t think you know me.”
Season six of The Kardashians debuts February 6 on Hulu and Disney +.
