Veiwer @BarbaraYetaxa pointed out that particular lines about “hiding themselves away” said by both The Doctor and Mrs. Flood could support this theory.
Others are thinking she might be connected to a past companion, such as Impossible Girl, Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman), like Richard Dinnick who noted that the two chracters wore similar sweaters on screen and promotional material. And one fan even suggested that Mrs. Flood could go all the way back to Biblical times referencing a “Doctor Who” villian from 1965 in a comment on the r/gallifrey Reddit community.
Dobson recognized these theories in that same Radio Times interview, saying “I think some of the theories are really cool, because I’ve done a couple of Comic-Cons, and the fans come up and tell me what they think. Some of them have been really close to the truth.” Being acknowledged by the actress has only led fans to even more analysis and clue hunting in the previous episodes, but the question remains: Who is Mrs. Flood?

The newest season of “Doctor Who” is officially being called Season 2 by television network, BBC, in its marketing due to an attempt to reboot the show for newer fans. But some longtime viewers still refer to it as Season 15, connecting it to the series that started with the 9th Doctor in 2005.
