Actor Will Smith has opened up about two final conversations he had with singers Prince and Biggie Smalls.

Smith spoke about the two icons on ‘The Broken Record‘ podcast with Justin Richmond.

“I don’t even want to say this out loud ’cause it’s like a terrible jinx. I met Biggie four hours before he got killed, and I talked to Prince eight hours before he died,” Smith told Richmond.

People Magazine described Smith’s revelation in the podcast as “eerie” and “haunting.”

According to Smith, Prince had a business proposition for him.

“I talked to Prince and he was pitching, saying that me, him and Jay-Z should start an entertainment company and he said he had talked to Jay and he wanted to do it,” Smith said on the podcast. “And we talked that night, and in the morning, he was gone. I don’t know what that says about me. I’m like, ‘Oh, no. Don’t call me, don’t call me.’”

Of his final conversation with Smalls, Smith revealed, “The Biggie one made me cry, ’cause it was like stupid and it was like just centered on hip-hop — for rapping. That one hurt me. It scared me too.”

Will Smith Also Spoke With the Podcaters About His New Project

The comments came in a wide-ranging discussion about Smith’s career.

The podcast’s YouTube page wrote, “Big Willie is back! He’s traded his larger than life, excessively positive raps for something more dark and complex but equally inspiring. Anyone following Will’s trajectory the last handful of years, or those who’ve read his wonderful autobiography knows he’s been on a journey of self-discovery and healing.”

“That’s left him wide open to be a bit of a different artist than he’s been in the past. It also drew him back into music. Will’s new project Based On A True Story will be coming out in three parts this year with part one dropping in March,” the caption says.

“Justin Richmond discusses where Will’s at as a creator on this new album, and goes through his decades long career in music, which dates back in his teen years in Phill.’

According to People, Biggie Smalls was shot to death in 1997. In 2016, Prince died of an accidental overdose that involved the narcotic fentanyl, according to History.com. He was only 57 years old, the site reported.
