Hours before he was due to perform the final concert of his Never Forget Tomorrow tour on February 27, 2025, Justin Timberlake canceled the show in Columbus, Ohio. Sidelined by the flu, Timberlake told fans via social media that he was “heartbroken” to end his tour with a whimper and that refunds would be provided to all ticketholders.
“You guys, I’m heartbroken,” Timberlake wrote in his post. “I have to cancel the show tonight. I went into soundcheck battling the flu and now it’s gotten the best of me. It kills me to disappoint you and my team who worked so hard to make this show happen. I want to reassure you, you’ll be getting refunds for your tickets. I love you all.”
EntertainmentNOW was present for what became Timberlake’s final show — held in St. Paul, Minnesota, on February 25 — when the pop star addressed his tour coming to a close.
Justin Timberlake Shared His Gratitude for All Who Attended His ‘Amazing’ Tour
Timberlake’s February 25 concert in St. Paul was a rescheduled show from October, when he had to cancel due to having bronchitis and laryngitis, per the Star Tribune.
“You know, we’ve been on the road for a while now,” Timberlake told the crowd at the Xcel Energy Center. “It’s been such an amazing tour. And after tonight, we only have one more show of the Forget Tomorrow World Tour.”
“I see so many faces that I’ve seen before, that I recognize,” he said as he looked around at his VIP section and the crowd cheered. “I love you, too.”
After polling the audience of 11,000 on how many were first-timers versus repeat attendees, Timberlake told his fans, “If it’s your first time or you’re an all-timer with me … I just wanna show my gratitude for each and every one of you for coming out tonight. It still blows my mind that after all these years, you wanna come out and see me do my thing. I’m humbled, I’m grateful, and I love you so, so much.”
As seen in EntertainmentNOW’s video above, he continued, “You all have been such a big, big part of my life and I just want you to know that I’m never gonna forget these moments, till I’m somewhere off this earth, wherever that may be. I want you to know you made a Tennessee boy’s dreams come true. Thank you.”
Fans Express Disappointment, But Wish Justin Timberlake Well
Fans in Columbus, Ohio, were understandably disappointed to miss seeing Timberlake. Like the show in St. Paul, the last show was a rescheduled concert from October, when he was also too sick to perform there, per People.
“If it was the flu, we would’ve known before 7:00pm,” one upset fan wrote. “Sad, people paid to travel, park and eat.. not to be disappointed a SECOND time. Shame on you, Justin. Admit you have a problem rather than disappointing & wasting 1000s of people’s time.”
Another irritated fan commented, “This should be rescheduled not refunded. Canceling once is understandable but not twice. I’m sorry if someone is sick but it needs to be made right. We have traveled and spent extra money twice for a last minute notification…not acceptable.”
But the vast majority of commenters on the post were understanding and wished Timberlake well, including one who wrote, “Bless your heart!!! We know you wouldn’t do this unless you’re very ill. Praying for swift healing, rest up ❤️ We love you!”
