Andy Cohen said something “kind of upsetting” went down during filming for “The Real Housewives of New York City” — and the drama spilled into the reunion taping.
During a segment on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, on December 16, the Bravo host told co-host John Hill that the reunion went well, before hinting at late-season drama.
“We shot the ‘Real Housewives of New York’ reunion,” Cohen shared. “I will also say it was great, it was a really good reunion. Don’t want to oversell it. I know people have a lot to say about this season of ‘The Real Housewives of New York.’ I think that the finale sets up the reunion very well, because you will see that there is something very controversial, kind of upsetting, at the end of the finale. There was a lot at this reunion.”
The 15th season of RHONY stars Erin Lichy, Ubah Hassan, Brynn Whitfield, Jessel Taank, Sai De Silva, and Jenna Lyons as well as newcomers Racquel Chevremont and Rebecca Minkoff.
Andy Cohen Said One RHONY Star Had a ‘Surprising’ Reunion Look
The Housewives reunion looks are always a thing, and Cohen teased that the New York ladies did not disappoint. “I cannot wait for you to see the looks,” Cohen teased. “There’s something very surprising. Let me just say this. Someone keeps changing the game. That’s all I will say.”
Cohen didn’t mention names, but last season, Lyons made headlines for her season 14 reunion look. While her co-stars wore glamorous gowns, Lyons, who is the former creative director and president of J. Crew, wore Levi’s jeans.
Lyons paired her jeans with a black Saint Laurent jacket and tie and a Thom Browne button-down blouse, per BravoTV.com. The price tag for her more casual 2023 reunion look came to $4,195.00, including shoes and jewelry, according to @bravoknowledge.
According to People, at the time, Lyons responded to an Instagram commenter who compared her look to “an American Eagles jeans campaign.” “The reunion — yes I wore jeans and I am not sorry,” Lyons cracked in 2023.
Fans Reacted to the RHONY Reunion Seating Chart
In addition to Cohen’s teasers, fans got a look at the RHONY season 15 reunion seating chart. In a post shared to Instagram by BravoTV, Whitfield was seen in the coveted seat to the right of host Andy Cohen followed by Lyons, Taank, and Minkoff. To Cohen’s left was Hassan, Lichy, De Silva and Chevremont.
Fans began speculating on the seating arrangement, with some wondering what happened later in the season to warrant Whitfield and Hassan next to Cohen.
“Not sure this is the order I would have picked, but still love the rebooted cast!” one fan wrote.
