Fans Stunned by Jessica Simpson’s New Photo as She Steps Back Into Music Scene

Jessica Simpson shared a photo of herself in the recording studio on December 16 and many fans were left completely taken aback. The mom of three was nearly unrecognizable in the snap, which she posted on her Instagram feed.

“I can’t wait for y’all to hear the soundtrack of my soul,” she captioned the post.

In the snap, Simpson was in full glam. She wore what looked like a fishnet body suit with a white crop top and a pair of matching shorts. She completed the look with a pair of heeled cowgirl boots, a black blazer, and a couple of necklaces.

The new picture comes just weeks after Simpson officially announced her return to music.

“This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve,” she captioned a post on November 11. It’s likely that she will release an album sometime in 2025.

Fans Reacted to Jessica Simpson’s New Photo

Shortly after Simpson uploaded her latest picture, dozens of people popped up in the comments section of the post. Most fans didn’t recognize Simpson, who appears to be going through a rebirth of sorts.

“I don’t even recognize this person,” one person wrote. Several more fans expressed the same feelings.

“I thought this was Ivanka Trump at first,” someone else said. Trump is just one of the celebs that people mistook Simpson for.

“I thought this was Paris Hilton,” a third comment read.

“I had no idea who this was,” a fourth Instagram user added.

Jessica Simpson Talked About Her Plans to Return to Music in 2023

After launching a successful music career, Simpson dabbled in some other arenas, eventually building an impressive brand empire. However, in 2023, she expressed a desire to get back in the studio.

“Writing music has become a beautiful therapeutic thing for me that I didn’t know was so natural, but it’s because I haven’t done it in so long. It’s just nice to know that I’m meeting myself back in this place, as a woman, and after going through everything that I’ve been through in my life. There’s a sense of freedom and empowerment,” she said in an interview with Footwear News.

At the time, she told the outlet that she was planning on releasing an album in 2024 and then going on tour. Based on Simpson’s recent posts, it appears as though the plan remains, though the timeline has shifted.
