Anitha Shaiq
Anitha Shaiq, frequently credited as Anitha. S is an Indian playback vocalist and music writer, living in Mumbai, India. She performs Indian old style, sufi, Ghazal, people and popular music, having sung in Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Oriya, Punjabi, and Tamil dialects. In her 12 years in the entertainment world, she has recorded in excess of 100 tunes for films.
Early life
Anitha Shaiq was brought into the world to Sirajuniza Begum, an optional school music educator, and Sheik Ebrahim. She moved on from the Government College for Women, studying music. She has concentrated on Hindustani, Sufi, Carnatic, and Western music.
Composing
Shaiq composed the song “Melake Ponnal” for the film Crossroad directed by Lenin Rajendran.
Playback singing
Shaiq started her play back singing in 2007 with the hit tune of that year created by Sree. Vidyasagar. She has sung for some Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada motion pictures.
Musical albums
“Satrangee” is created and sung by Anitha Shaiq, while it was delivered by East Coast.The collection comprises of seven tracks composed by legends like, Meera, Mirza Ghalib, Bulleh Shah, Amir Khusrow etc..The collection was sent off by the popular Indian Sufi vocalist Kailash Kher on 20 January 2015.

Anitha has performed live concerts all over India, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Europe.
Awards and honours
Anitha received JESSEY Awards, Lions Club Musical Award, and GMMA Award and was nominated for the “Best singer” in the Asianet Film Awards.
