Raja Kumari brings the heat to the new Bollywood action movie Baby John, singing on the title track which is heard in the recently released teaser for the Arjun Dhawan-starring flick.
After contributing to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan with the title track and “Sherni Aayi” for the Sushmita Sen-starring series Aarya 3, Raja Kumari is working with composer Thaman S. and hip-hop artist Shah Rule on the title track for Baby John. The film – a remake of 2016 Tamil movie Theri – will hit theaters on Dec. 25, 2024, with the soundtrack songs expected to drop in the coming weeks.
Raja Kumari said in a statement, “I have enjoyed every bit of working on Baby John’s title track, and it’s been nothing short of an enriching experience for me. I am absolutely excited for this, and just cannot wait for everyone to watch the film on the big screens.” She shared on Instagram, “If youre a demon…he’s the King of the Night! Wrote this one with my bro @shahrulemusic and @musicthaman.” Dhawan, the star of the movie, chimed in with a comment, “Can’t wait for people to hear this.”
Baby John stars actors such as Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. The movie is directed by Kalees and co-produced by Theri filmmaker Atlee (among other producers). Kumari, for her part, is coming up with new music following her collaboration “In Love” with Punjabi hitmaker Guru Randhawa earlier this year and her 2023 album The Bridge.
