Independent artists and mainstream film hitmakers alike were feted at The Indian Music Awards, which was held on Nov. 29, 2024 at R City Mall in Mumbai.
Previously instated as the Indian Independent Music Awards (IIMA), music and entertainment platform Hungama’s Artist Aloud handed several awards, with jury members including the likes of Daler Mehndi, Shaan, Anu Malik and more.
Among the big winners were the likes of singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal in the film categories, while Salim-Sulaiman’s “Manzoor Hai” with singer Shraddha Pandit also picked up two awards in the jury category.
Among indie artists, the likes of singer-songwriter Meera with producer Raag Sethi, fusion artist Avra Banerjee, hitmaker Sanju Rathod and more picked up awards in various categories.
The Indian Music Awards also instated a few special awards. The Trailblazer award went to singer-composer Anurag Halder, while the Taking Kashmir to India award went to singer-songwriter Aabha Hanjura. The award for Most Ground Breaking Bhojpuri Song went to “Khesari Lal Yadav” by Amrapali Dubey and Indu Sonali. Check out the full list of winners below.
