Seasoned hip-hop star KR$NA‘s next project is slated to release in May 2025 via Mass Appeal, his first with American rap legend Nas‘ label.
The announcement comes on the back of Nas making his India debut on Apr. 19, 2025 at Mass Appeal Presents: The World Reunion—A Charity Concert in Mumbai. As part of his India visit, Nas met with several Indian hip-hop artists and industry stakeholders, and KR$NA, who also performed at the show, was tapped for a bigger announcement.
KR$NA’s upcoming project comes after the New Delhi rapper has dropped several hits, from “Hola Amigo” and “Khatta Flow” with Seedhe Maut, EPs like Time Will Tell and Far From Over in 2023, and most recently, For The Day One$ in July last year via Kalamkaar Music. Details, including the tracklist, artwork, and collaborations of KR$NA’s upcoming project will be revealed in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
The rapper says in a statement, “This is a project that I have worked on for the past few months and is, I feel, a more complete body of work. In a way, carrying forward the legacy I have built, but expanding my soundscapes. It’s exciting for my team at Kalamkaar and me to work alongside Mass Appeal—a label with incredible hip-hop pedigree spearheaded by none other than the legend Nas! Couldn’t be more amped!”
Mass Appeal’s CEO Peter Bittenbender added in his statement, “KR$NA is a lyrical powerhouse with a story that deserves the world stage. At Mass Appeal, we’re driven by the mission to spotlight the most authentic voices in hip-hop globally — and KR$NA fits that vision effortlessly. His artistry, integrity, and influence in Indian Hip Hop are undeniable, and we’re proud to welcome him into the Mass Appeal family. This project is a defining moment for Desi Hip Hop, and we’re excited to help take it to the world.”
