Lorna Cordeiro

Bombay Velvet, the Bollywood film, is set during the 1960s and Lorna’s voice was rousing to Bollywood entertainer Anushka Sharma. Anurag Kashyap says that Anushka’s personality is a recognition for Lorna.
Nachom-ia Kumpasar (transl. Let’s dance to the mood), is a Konkani film. It depends on the existences of jazz artists Chris Perry and Lorna. The film takes its title from the name of a tune by the two craftsmen. The story is told through more than 20 well known Konkani melodies from the 1960s and 1970s that have been re-recorded for this film. It is set during the 1960s and is an accolade for the ‘overlooked’ Konkani performers of that time.
Commercials
A global promotion crusade by Nike for its cricket hardware included a Konkani tune “Rav Patrao Rav”, sung by Ella Castellino, in light of the melody “Bebdo” as the signature music. The verses to the new tune were composed by Agnello Dias (who worked in the JWT promoting organization that made the advertisement) and it was recomposed by Ram Sampath.
Lorna is a Brand Ambassador and furthermore introduced “The Goan Sip” bundled drinking water. She shows up in the notice crusade video singing in the tune of “Tuzo Mog”.
Grants and awards
In 1997, she was granted the title of Best Female Singer in Mumbai, close by Alfred Rose, who won the title of Best Male Singer
